Clearseal Windows Merseyside

Older sash windows can be full of grace and charm however we all know that the old timber sashes can give real problems.  They can be cold and draughty, have broken or seized mechanisms, be permanently screwed down, or simply welded shut by layer upon layer of paint.

A solution to the problems that old sash windows have is to supply the modern equivalent; modern materials, modern security fittings, modern insulation, whilst retaining the classic sash window styling:

Windows that have been designed to mirror the appearance of a traditional timber sash. They have all the features your customers will need; shaped frames, Georgian bars and sash horns for the authentic look.  We can even match any of the existing glazing your customers may want to retain for that amazing look.

Windows that are high performance, designed to achieve a Window Energy Rating of A with 24mm double-glazing as standard. Seals on the sashes and on the outer frame keep draughts outside and there are permanently-bonded flush gaskets that will keep the rain out without spoiling the look. All our frames incorporate highly-secure locking mechanisms to keep your customers' homes and possessions safe.

Windows that can open and tilt inwards for ease of cleaning meaning your customers will have no more struggling outside with steps or ladders. The balance mechanisms are engineered for ease of operation, time after time. The PVCu is incredibly low-maintenance, strong and durable, and does not need painting.

Your customers can put their own touch to their home by selecting from various options:

  • They can choose from a full range of colours; from classic white to solid colours and stunning wood-grain finishes.
  • They can choose white, brass or chrome hardware.
  • They might want to choose the Georgian bar option.
  • They can select moulded or through sash horn details.
  • There is a deep bottom rail option to give that traditional appearance.

Energy-efficiency

PVCu is a good insulator and the multi-chambered profiles protect homes from heat loss. Pile seals are an effective barrier against cold draughts and the top-quality double-glazing allows passive solar gain, whilst keeping the sun’s warmth inside the home.  The windows have been designed to achieve an A Rating for energy-efficiency, and therefore make replacing poorly-performing old sashes an obvious move.

The environment

PVCu is very durable and products made from it need replacing less frequently than products made with some other types of material. At the end of a long life, PVCu products can be easily recycled and a lot of new frames already contain recycled materials without compromising on appearance or performance.  Maintenance is as simple as a wipe with a soapy cloth so there’s no painting or preservatives polluting the environment.  PVCu is a good insulator and PVCu window frames help with lower fuel bills and reducing carbon emissions.
